Jaeger-LeCoultre Ados Triple Calendar, Steel & Green Leather

Designed in the first half of the 20th centry at the height of the Art Deco movement, this ‘Ados’ triple-calendar travel clock sits neatly in its case while travelling, folding open to stand and display the time and date when you arrive at your destination.

The ‘Ados’ is considered a Jaeger-LeCoultre classic, originally created by Jaeger in the early Thirties before the brand merged with LeCoultre in 1937. This particular piece bears the full brand name. Unlike earlier models, this clock has an eight-day power reserve, indicated by the ‘8’ icon on the dial. Prior to this, models only had a two-day reserve.

The case is crafted from rich, forest green leather in a lizard print effect, while the clock is in stainless steel with a stylish black dial. The dial features a subtly brushed finish, painted Arabic numerals, which developed a beautiful patina, matching cathedral-style hands, a rectangular minute track, and the day, date and month feature below six o’clock in red.

Timeless in design and practical in function, the clock is manually wound, which can be operated through the crown at six o’clock. Within the crown, you’ll also find the button for the alarm setting. This Jaeger LeCoultre Triple Calendar Travel Clock remains in a very impressive condition overall.

The patina is throughout consistent with age, particularly on the dial and hands. The dial remains intact, while the hands retain the original patina, apart from a small piece that has broken off the alarm hand.

The case shows minor scratches from wear, particularly where the case closes but apart from that, together with the lizard-print case, it remains in a remarkable condition.
