Designed in the first part of the 20th century and made after the Second World War, the clock is a testament to the clever use of more inexpensive materials of the post-war years, while still showcasing excellence in both design and watchmaking. 

In terms of design, the clock combines leather and wood to produce a sophisticated feel, with juxtaposing geometric lines and aged, brass-coloured metal accents that provide a distinctly mid-century style. The dial is relatively minimalist, with black numerals against the golden hue of the face, blued-steel hands, and a small "Jaeger-LeCoultre" signature. The black leather of the case is beautifully-aged, with a lizard print effect, while the grained texture of the surrounding wood provides an excellent contrast. The main body of the clock is balanced on a brass plinth that curves downwards, echoing the curved edges of the case.
